Reading the Timing Estimates
Each service speed has one published estimate. The figures count working days and describe the service itself.
They are estimates, not guarantees: approval and delivery dates are not promised.
Documents: Gather Now, Decide Later
Some paperwork is the same whatever your plans. The rest depends on the purpose you choose.
Gather now
- Passport bio-data pageA clear scan, with details you can compare against the printed page.
- Recent color photographEvery purpose asks for one. The photograph requirements may vary, so look up the current specifications before you apply.
Decide later
- Purpose-specific letters or invitations
- Treatment-related documents from a hospital
- Anything your category page adds for your exact purpose
Matching Your Purpose to Its Paperwork
Ghanaian travelers heading to India for different reasons will meet different document lists. These examples come from the requirements information and show how a purpose changes what is listed. They are not Ghana-specific rules.

Questions from Ghanaian Travelers
I am not sure whether my trip counts as tourism or business. What should I do?
Compare your planned activities with the purposes listed on each category page. Tourist covers leisure and visiting friends or family, Business covers meetings, trade fairs and conferences, and Medical covers treatment. If the trip has more than one aim, look up current guidance before deciding, and compare the visa types side by side.
What separates a Regular price from an Express price?
They match two service speeds. Express costs more in every row and is estimated at 2–3 working days, against 4–5 for Regular. All figures are published website service prices in USD, and the fees page adds entry type and validity.
Do the working-day estimates promise an approval date?
No. They estimate how long the service takes, counted in working days. Neither approval nor delivery is guaranteed, so leave some margin in your plans.
Which documents appear on every list?
Two core items: a passport bio-data scan and a recent photograph in color. Beyond those, the purpose decides, for example an invitation for a conference visit or a hospital letter for treatment, and the requirements guide has the details.
What should Ghanaian passport holders have ready before applying for an India eVisa?
Choose the category and service level that match your trip, then have your passport details, a recent photograph, your travel dates and any supporting documents ready, so you can enter every detail exactly as it appears in your documents.
