Papers, category by category
Every category starts from the same two items. Open the one that matches your trip for what it adds.
Every category lists a scan of the passport bio-data page and a recent color photograph. Photograph requirements may vary, so check the current specifications before applying.
Tourist notes
A plain holiday or family visit needs only the shared items. A short course adds a letter from the course provider, and short-term volunteering adds one from the voluntary organization.
Business notes
For meetings, an invitation letter is optional, if applicable. For a conference, seminar or workshop, the lists call for an invitation from the event organizer.
Medical notes
A letter from the hospital or treatment institution, with a tentative admission date, is listed. Someone accompanying a patient may need a different visa category.

Can I use one category for a trip that serves two purposes?
Choose the category that matches the main reason for the journey, and check current guidance carefully instead of guessing about the rest. The visa options page puts the three categories next to each other.
Where does the Express extra amount come from?
It is simply the Express price minus the Regular price for the same option, both taken from the published website service prices.
Does a Colombian passport come with different timing?
The website publishes one set of estimates, 4–5 working days for Regular and 2–3 for Express, with nothing separate for Colombia. They remain estimates, with no promise of approval or delivery.
How do I find out what my purpose adds to the paperwork?
